How about a genre at a time with a shortlist. Take the shortlist and get a champion for each game and have them debate games 1v1 and start knocking em out until there is 1 champion. Then you can do they same for the winners.
Lots of work but could be fun.

Once every system is ranked, I’ll take those Top 10s and ask everyone for their Top 10 out of those with the winner being declared in the same manner.

Will it be objective? God no. Fan favorites and popular picks will push through. Plus some systems have more greats than others. But I’m curious.

Derrick reminds me, sort of, of what Johnny Cash did for his daughter -- before he passed, he made her a list of his favorite 100 songs. Would be pretty prolific to have such a talented musician provide that sort of list! Hopefully yours, for games, will turn out well.

I'd love that - I make a top 10 of games I finish every year (finish being loose term...meaning I played and either completed it or decided to stop, but have to actually TRY)

As an adult its harder and harder to even finish 10+ games a year
