We should start remaking awful games.
Games that did not sell well.
Games that did not receive critical and/or commercial fame.
Yes—it is cool we getting all of these remakes for lauded games, but we should also be getting remakes for stuff that just did not work out too well for whatever reason.

Like a prettier version of an already good game is fine
But give me something that didn't work or was slightly ahead of the curve and try to reshape the vision
Purely because remakes are already poised to replace the originals in the public's mind, which is bad enough for good games but almost feels like rewriting history when talking about huge failures.
I'd rather just have the original failures be rereleased.
My personal "I 100% believe this!" conspiracy theory is that we never got a Bloodborne rerelease because Sony lost the source code.
THAT is how much one can trust this industry with its own damn history.
Shit system.
That then got shut down.
Oh well.
Shit, I'd love to see them take another crack at Steambot Chronicles, which was a jazz-era steampunk mech game hampered by half-baked battle combat.
and also they be made good. And keep the old version for preservation/comparison.
YES
that reminds me I gotta try the patch that adds in the unused extra phase for the final boss
but regardless of whether it counts as "awful" i really, REALLY want to see "Like a Dragon OF THE END Kiwami" happen
