It 100% resonates with many of them, because the handful of people who DO pay attention propagate the "own the libs" mentality by sharing the BS they see and hear.

I’m talking about the majority of Americans who don’t follow politics closely enough to bother sharing anything on social media. It’s a mistake to assume your level of civic engagement represents most people.
They have friends, they talk to friends, who propagate the mentality. The old fashioned way of sharing politics 🤣 buddy tells his friend one night at the bar that his farm is struggling because of the damn libs and their taxes.
The Australian edition of The Week ceased operation in October 2012.. Now it cloaks itself as a “left-leaning” news aggregator. There are other publishers who do this as well.
HA! I’m not one to argue w/strangers on the internet, BUT here I am. 🤷🏽 You’re all wrong. 💯 of plp who voted for Trump are racist or if P.O.C. self-hating. Racism is the MAGA brand nothing else. It’s the classic nonsensical argument of false superiority. This is a wyt supremacist coup.
And Trump got less than 80k votes to win the presidency. Either there's 77k hardcore MAGA members, or other people voted for trump based on a single or handful of issues without digging too deep.
People aren't as black or white and you make them out to be, and that's a dangerous stance to take.
They don't.
While I think anyone who voted for him for guilty of at least being indifferent to racism,.you're so correct in how little most Americans, even voting ones, have no idea what they're voting for
Question to the peanut gallery: Am I missing the point? Is my interpretation of her comment (that the pol. "uninformed"/non-MAGA don't care about owning the libs because they don't even know about the concept) completely off base?
Though the GOP can dream, political inflation means actually owning the libs is no longer a practical proposition. The best they could do in November was a short lease, and it's already run out.
