If Obama were not a star, he would've lost in 2012. Bush had no major 1st term legislation, only wars after 9/11.
LBJ signed sweeping legislation. He had the same fate as Biden.
Problem is, LBJ lost too much for their tastes.

I never gave a shit about policy wins. Their failure to protect democracy has destroyed my confidence in them.
GWBush’s victory in 2004 was probably due to being seen as a successful “wartime” president, not a reflection of economic success or other domestic matters.
(And most of his foreign policy — Ukraine, Israel, etc)
