Last year, the state AG said Glossip should not be executed because of prosecutorial misconduct (allegations that the prosecutor manipulated witnesses) but OK's highest court on these matters refused to grant a new trial: https://eji.org/news/supreme-court-richard-glossip/

Scalia, of the "mere factual innocence" being insufficient grounds to overturn a death sentence, was also known to have mocked the fear and suffering of those being executed.

I can’t remember what case it was exactly but it was about voting rights and during oral arguments Scalia dismissed and mocked the utility of the oath every voter makes when signing their ballot, which is incredible given how essential oaths to give true testimony are to courts.
