World needs both. I got ill in 2015 I finished Dragon Age Inquisition 8 times! Completed my Netflix queue. There's nothing for doctors to do for me when I get ill, imagine what my mental health would be like if I didn't have art someone had created for my enjoyment to help me through it?!

doctors need game designers to be designing games so that when they have had a hard day doctoring they can, if it's what lifts their soul and brings them joy, relax and refresh with a bit of gaming. wonder if that commenter had quit their own career to scrub in; hope not, doctors need empathy!

people don't factor in how having game experience also makes it basically impossible to get hired anywhere else too. I couldn't GET a day job if I wanted one now, because any hiring manager who sees my resume will be like "this person will leave the moment they get another offer in their field"

I’d prefer a Dr over a game designer any day. I spent 20 years as a sound designer & audio director in the games industry and I can say, without prejudice, that I’d prefer a Dr & not a game designer opening my chest to fix my broken heart.
