I own both of these games. They’re amazing in their own special ways. I logged over 200 hours in The Long Dark alone and it’s a game that continues to see content updates and overall improvements. As for Pacific Drive, I bop to the soundtrack on my workouts and drives around town. Pick them up!

I also watched Le Silence De La Mer and it’s a wonderful adaptation from Jean-Pierre Melville It highlights the French resistance of the Nazi regimes occupation during WWII where this old man and his niece sit in absolute silence as they’re forced to house a Nazi lieutenant. Go watch it.

Bicycle Thieves is such a good film. Italian Neo-Realism came from filmmakers wanting to make movies less glamorous and more like the news reels of the time. Grounding their films and showing the reality of Italy at the time. Bicycle Thieves is one of the best examples of this era of filmmaking.

I loved A Face In The Crowd. Another prescient film from the late 50s with a terrific cast including the breakout role of Andy Griffith! My only issue is that it drags a bit too long, but it’s so well acted and beautifully shot.

Make Way For Tomorrow was great. It is touching without being too sappy and the ending is so brutal and gut wrenching. It really sets the theme of taking care of your elders.
