Like it’s fine if you’re out of the loop but that man hasn’t been one of the hardest working men in rap for over a decade for you to demand he hand feed you a top forty pop hit before you recognize the talent, get over yourself and go listen to Good Kid Maad City
While I agree with your statements entirely, this is all them intentionally being ignorant and thinking it's cute, Swimming Pools played on many Top 40 Stations for a while. Like even the stupid "Uh he's not on mainstream radio" defense is a lie.
Well I don't follow modern music or Football and the last Rap(?) Hip Hop(?) I listened to was like Sugarhill Gang era, but I did watch a video of Kendrick Lamar's half-time gig and Props To Him for a hat tip to The Master: https://youtu.be/vwSRqaZGsPw?feature=shared
I went to the bathroom at halftime. I was also hungry and snacked a bit. But, I’ve made a resolution to develop a heightened awareness of the rap battles in the only genre best known for its artists having each other killed.
You could not pay me to admit that on the internet, Sir. Also you're sleeping on some of the greatest sonic haterade of all time. Entire chapters of my dissertation were written by harnessing the power of "Not like us"
Exactly - it’s incredible how removed from dominant culture one can be now. My Spotify is all alt-country, folk-rock, jazz, early punk. I’m old! But even I have heard of Kendrick. And clearly he kicks ass.
I'm not what one might call old, although my body would disagree and so might gen Z folks. But my music tastes run in the classic rock, Motown, classical, and world folk music, not much rap. Hard for my ears to understand such quick lyrics.
Oh, yeah, I've no idea.
I have the musical tastes of a 60 year old man with a handlebar moustache wearing a bowling shirt in Brooklyn, and that is my cross to bear. I don't talk smack about other people's genres because it's rude.
In the world of hip hop and music in general absolutely versatile. In what world is he untalented? He is literally the best rapper and hip-hop artist in the game and technically history. You don't get a pulitzer for being untalented.
Some of the powerhouses controlling the music industry are/were Jay-Z and Diddy before his downfall. Lots of strange things & awards happened and still happening under their watch. I think Jay-Z has a hand in the management of the super bowl half time shows as well, if I'm not wrong. You can check.🥴
Kanye is a Nazi, a misogynist, and an abuser. Fuck his music. Even if you don't like Kendrick Lamar, which is your right, you CANNOT put them together. That's like saying, "I don't like waffles or dog turds, therefore they're both the same thing."
He won 22 Grammys and a damn Pulitzer, you’re entitled to a subjective opinion like “I don’t enjoy his music” but to say someone so decorated is “untalented shit” just makes you sound really stupid, and probably racist 😂
That’s true. People presenting their opinions and prejudices as if they’re “facts” are always annoying. But over this T decade, they’ve been getting just plain infuriating - imo of course.
I can't comment on why he won so many grammar, as I don't follow Lamar. Maybe he made some good music last year. But I saw and heard what I saw and heard at the superbowl. I also listened keenly to the " Not like us" lyrics after his Grammy wins. Total garbage both times.😐
I am a very old (72) white woman who isn't fond of rap. I not only know who he is is, I really like "Not Like Us" and especially like that it a condemnation of pedos. Social commentary has always been important.
I agree with each of your points. I, too, am 72 in a few days). We might just be middle aged- my mother lived to 98 years old- we won’t know what our very old is… til we know;)
I adore him. He gave an incredible performance of "Savior" in the UK within days of the Roe v Wade reversal. It gave me goosebumps & brought tears to my eyes. I'm 61. ☺️🙏✨️
Well that was just rude. You do realize not everybody has to listen and like what you like, right? No disrespect to anyone especially him—I’m just not a fan of rap. Maybe ya know, fuck off with that geezers comment, lmao, I’m sure I have a lot of people I enjoy that you’d be “who?” 😂
Bet the work ethic is a product of that extremely rare spirit creating always creating … hours are not counted in search of his art.
The genius are all like that. Fire in em doesn’t allow time off. And then the price—-
Also, I know fuckall about and modern music but I know the lyrics to not like us & a quick Google search says he gave three #1 hits in that performance?
I am super put of the loop and only bother with new music when people make a big deal about it (Lil Nas X, Chappell Roan). You didn't need to have heard the music to see the performance was brilliant. If people have bad things to say about it, they are exactly the people I don't care about anyway.
Lol. Imagine me posting music for three letter agents.
Mfer IRGC was paying me 20k dollars a month for initiation, you gotta pay at least 500k a month for the privilege to ask for music and shit.
Thank you. Me to my stepmother last night who was clearly not having it. Dead though cause she was like “guess we’re all just old and don’t know them, right, guys?” (Them being Kendrick and SZA). My parents are both cool and in their mid-late 60s. They knew them both. Just her 🙄😂 She Not Like Us
then again… i’m older, was never into rap, and am born deaf, so i don’t “absorb” music around me, i have to intentionally find music + lyrics and set aside several days
but i can appreciate what i’ve read about him. wow! looking for the 1/2 time asl terp now
Helen Mirren, one of the greatest actresses of our time, is in the video for Count Me Out. Right wing Americans have no appreciation of art or culture. Addressing the issues of society, is what artists do. Anyone who has studied poetry, values his work. Thank you.
He was announced in September of last year and has been advertised to perform since then. So all the colonizers claiming they didn't know who he was but are so invested in the halftime show must practice ignorance on a daily basis. No excuse.
I don’t listen to him, but even I know about the feud with Drake, and that he’s been considered the best rapper for quite some time. Some people‘s bubbles are just impenetrable.
…But you picked the wrong person…we howled in my home. And are wondering when Donny-do-wrong and felons will realize it was aimed at them. I was waiting for the, he was disrespectful to me, whine from the master snowflake, to use his own Orange language.
73 yo white lady, I didn't know who he was, so I ventured down a few rabbit holes. I learned a lot about Drake, the beef between the two, and Drake's enemies list that consists mostly of Lamar's supporters. This morning, I read some of the lyrics on his DAMN album. RESPECT 🙏
Drake started the mess. Kendrick held a 4.0 gpa all during school Pulitzer Grammy winner.Just won album of the year. The set was a game controller as his messages were in each. Serena was on the x he disrespect Serena and her husband. It’s messages that we are not going anywhere. Happy you research
Even their klancestors at least pretended to be ashamed of this behavior. The upside of them being too dumb to hide it is that it's easier to know who to exclude and avoid.
Hendrix is more my style, so, no, I don’t know who he is. But I liked his smile and the fact that he has apparently riled up a shit ton of white conservative men. 😂
They don't like him not because they don't know who he is or because they don't understand the lyrics. They don't like him because they DO understand the message and they don't like what they see.
No its not. The Grammys are a terrible way to judge the success of a musician. Lamar has more Grammys than Bob Dylan and The Beatles combined. That says a lot more negative about the Grammys than it does positive about Kendrick Lamar. You can be a great music connoisseur and not know Kendrick Lamar.
You really can't, though. Knowing a lot about white men from 50-60 years ago doesn't make you a "great music connoisseur", it makes you a niche expert on a historical musical genre.
calling the Beatles musicians seems a little overeager, though I'll admit they were very successful in the field of experimental electronical engineering
I’m a 70 year old hippie and I just discovered Kendrick Lamar! I’m a Philly guy and had a great night watching our Eagles win and watching Kendrick! Love him!
Grammies doesn't equal good. There's plenty of crappy Grammy winners. And the fact that I can't name 1 song by him isn't a problem for me at all. I really don't care about pop rap. It's boring AF.
The whole Superb owl is a giant waste of money. Too much money is wasted on this nonsense
You don't have to like 'pop rap', but the guy has some amazing music with some really meaningful messages. I encourage you to read the lyrics to a few songs from his past albums like "alright" or "sing about me im dying of thirst" if you feel like being open minded about it and have a bit of time
I just had a coworker, a 20 something jazz pianist, tell me I need to realize Kendrick is keeping jazz alive in Harlem.... as he put it. He mentioned his lyrical prose as well as working with prominant newer "jazz Cats" (cracks me up when he says that)
Interesting and unexpected.
I didn’t know who he was. But I don’t think that’s a problem. That’s just a part of society and the arts that I’m not part of. I don’t watch Grammy awards and I don’t listen to rap music. That’s not a problem, it’s just different.
see, I thought everyone who says "i don't listen to him" would have AT LEAST heard swimming pools or b*tch don't kill my vibe back in the day..... I guess I was wrong and being a college kid at that time swayed my perspective lol
I know *of* him (it was impossible not to know of him on this site when his last album came out), not knowing that much *about* him isn't a problem if his music isn't of a genre that you particularly appreciate.
There have been 76 Pulitzer music winners - I doubt many people would recognise many.
I didn't know until his public execution of Drake last year. I'm not into much rap these days, but his performance was amazing. As soon as I heard he was going to perform, I knew I couldn't miss it.
I vaguely knew of a beef with Drake, but after watching the halftime show I did some googling about Drake being a pedo, and I definitely side with Kendrick Lamar on whatever is going on based solely on that.
I didn't know anything about him until my granddaughter introduced me to his music.I only listen to jazz, and classic rock.I just learned today that he won a pulitzer award.I learn new stuff every day.
As someone not into rap or hiphop, my favorite half-time shows were Prince, Springsteen and Tom Petty. Yet, I'm perfectly fine with other (younger) people seeing their musical favorites perform. The idea that any act of inclusion is somehow an attack on white people is fragile, "snowflake" behavior.
I don't know his music 'cause it's not my cup of tea but I know he's huge in that genre. Sure there's a lot of people who don't listen to Bruce Springsteen but they'd know he's a big deal. It's virtually impossible to find an act for SB that all millions of viewers would like.
Ah, the country music crowd, well they have Jason Aldean so F those jerks.
Look, give me John Coltrane, Buddy Guy, Vernon Ried, Stanley Clarke, those guys could play!
This stuff is just boring
"New country" is about as country as "Christian Nat'l" are Christians. I showed my grandson, a guitar player, videos of Roy Clark tearing it up. He was amazed. And you can't get more "woke" than Dolly or Loretta. 🤣
Me too. I teach all my grandsons classic rock. Covers all different styles. They took & go on to look for different music. They all have varied interests from the Beach Boys to metal. Always bringing me great finds.
He also did one of the rarest of things in music this last year. He had the most popular song, that was also the best song, that was also recognized as both in the year it came out.
In the UK, never heard of him until this morning. That's on me as the last US artist I paid any real
attention to was the New York Dolls. Does he tear Nellie Bonespurs and VD Vance a third fecal orifice? Fine by me.
I know who he is but couldn’t name a single song because I’m old and can’t keep up with every artist out there. And I don’t care about football so I never watch the Super Bowl.
But I hear good things about KL and about his recent performance so, you know, good for him. Fuck the haters.
This is an awfully pathetic post. I’m 50, I don’t listen to music, I prefer books. A decade ago I was 40, still didn’t listen to music, I preferred books. But to say that I have problems because I had no idea who he was makes YOU the problem.
To be fair, if there was a country artist with 22 Grammies and a Pulitzer, I doubt I'd know who they are. Every genre of music isn't for everybody. And that's OK. When they have a big country star at halftime of the SB, some people will complain about that too.
Well yeah, on that level. But she also did movies and TV and has been around for decades. And Kendrick is a bit of an introvert, too.
Don't get me wrong - I know a lot of the "wtf is he?" people are racist AF. But there's a lot of people who just don't listen to rap who thought the same thing.
I’m not sure what you’re arguing exactly but most Americans know who he is, even if they don’t listen to rap. That’s my point, he is part of pop culture so people generally know him even if they don’t listen to rap.
And most Americans are not over that age. Obviously the older someone is the less likely they are to know anything about pop culture, I don’t think anyone would argue otherwise lol
Thats really interesting. I can’t imagine being completely unaware of an artist my spouse is a big fan of. Even the things that aren’t my cup of tea, I’ve been exposed to because we talk and share things we like.
I knew who he was because I listen to rap. People who don't would have no reason to know. If a country artist had a #1 song, I can promise you I'd have no idea who they were. (Beyonce notwithstanding, since she used to be R&B).
As the star? Either way, it's a ridiculous comparison. Dolly has been around for many decades. Kendrick has been around for a little over 10.
Name a country star that's been around as long as him & I bet a large group of people (me included) have no idea who they are. Doesn't mean they're not a ⭐️
I often feelin pretty out of touch now that I'm in my 40s. But in this case your age is probably less relevant than your race. Black culture is generally demonized until it can be marketed under a white face. You had no choice but to be out of the loop if you lack curiosity.
Some of us just aren’t into pop culture. Doesn’t make us racist. Just means we don’t know who he is. And Dolly has been around MUCH longer and been in some
Major blockbuster movies. And Kendrick doesn’t have a rack like her. 😂
I got a call from my elderly mother this morning on cloud 9 talking about the halftime show & how much she loved it & how Kendrick was the best! She also was talking about the whole thing between Kendrick & Drake. She is an old woman in Alabama & she even knows who he is & loves him! 😂
Yeah. I thought the halftime show was great so when I read a negative headline post-performance I thought 'What the hell did THAT guy watch?" I also want to ask 'Where the hell was Kansas City?' because that was weird. Congrats to Philly.
The NFL is too Black to pretend the Chiefs werent fully demoralized by Mangolini's support. I sure ass shit wouldn't want to win a super bowl for that man. And you could see the determination of the Eagles cause Philly was also repping Black Excellence that game.
My mom in her 60s saw the reaction and was pleased that it seemed to get a rise out of people, but didn’t understand all the imagery and lore so I was writing paragraphs last night like
They only love his music because he mentions God in his songs and met with Trump once. Even though afterwards Jelly Roll said he's not a Trump supporter because he doesn't know the first thing about politics. But he respects the office of president regardless who holds it.
If you actually listen to what he says tho, whether it's his music or just him talking, he's a pretty chill guy. Way more chill than asshats like Kid Rock.
back on the nazi owned site before I deleted my account, I asked who he was when he was at a WWE PLE. Got so many rep cap wearing weirdo telling me not to disrespect him. I just wanted to know who the big guy who chokeslammed someone was.
I absolutely did not seek out this information yet unfortunately have a mental image of him when I read his name. I do not understand the intersection of face tattoos and country music and do not want to.
Agree. I feel with those credentials, you should probably know who he is, and also listen to him. It’s a rare thing to hear a SME on race relations give you a lesson in real time. I can’t wait for people smarter than me to dissect this halftime performance.
Kendrick Lamar is the king of West Coast rap, even if you don't listen to him I'm sure you've heard of him, he's a regular on Billboard so stop pretending you don't know him and stop shrinking like a turtle.
#KendrickLamar #SuperBowl #HalftimeShow
It's probably wild for some of y'all to comprehend but there are those of us who don't pay attention to the Billboard or mainstream music.
I've friends who do so I'd heard of him, but otherwise I rarely ever know who's popular. I just don't care; I listen to what I like.
And Queen has 0 Grammies. That is not to take anything from Lamar's writing. He's nowhere in the league of Mercury who the Grammies shit on his entire career, yet sold over 300 million albums world wide and will be remembered fore centuries just like Mozart.
I’m with ya.💙 Not a lot of logic to be found on social media. Just saying many people are just busy trying to raise their families and aren’t tuned in.
But no clips found here yet.
What was the message?
Sorry I missed him. Not sorry I avoided wasting my time on that game. I hate slaughters - no matter who wins or loses.
Oh no, I hate this thing I’ve never listened to and don’t plan to- let me run to the internet and let everyone who knows this artist and loves their music needs to know I hate it!!!
Per Wikipedia: "Not Like Us" is the most decorated song in Grammy Awards history, sweeping all five of its nominations at the 67th ceremony: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, and Best Music Video.
It's like how a single film can win Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Score, Best Costume Design, etc. Ben-Hur, Titanic, and Return of the King won 11 Oscars apiece.
(Category creep and reorganization are both common with awards shows so those achievements aren't directly comparable.)
Nah, I needed subtitles because the man is talented & he raps super fast & I know my brain isnt catching everything he's saying- hell the subtitlesdidnt even catch everything! I also like to go read the lyrics of songs I like because sometimes you notice stuff you didn't catch while listening.
“And most people I asked 10 and up” that doesn’t mention family. Also mentioning people in your family really shrinks the demographic from the world, to a couple of people who happen to be in the same family. Your statement is very easily proven false. Men lie, women lie, numbers don’t
I only know the name of one Taylor Swift song too. That doesn’t mean that she’s not one of the most successful artists of all time. I don’t like her music, but there’s no denying that she is a cultural phenomenon. Same with Kendrick.
😂😂 he has 3 of the most listened to songs of the year, got the Super Bowl, has a Pulitzer, sells out show worldwide, and swept the Grammys. People definitely are aware of who he is. This is just silly
I’m 47 and I’ve seen him live twice and love his music. Kendrick is literally a slam poet that can add incredible music to tie it together. I get he may not be for all but 22 Grammy awards and a Pulitzer don’t lie.
I live in a cave untouched by human civilization. I fish and wonder if life exists outside my simple dwelling.... And even I know who Kendrick Lamar is....
I have a bachelors degree in music. Rap is music. I dare you to find someone with a college music education who disagrees with that. Educate yourself instead of assuming the rest of the world is "kinda dumb."
Black (or African American) community contributed so much artistically and musically in particular - most of it is worth utmost admiration. That includes: jazz, blues and r&b. Rap is of course a style of music, but the quality is much lower, and appeals to people aspiring to specific lifestyle.
Content wise there is little difference between rap music and country. The sing about women, cars, their neighborhood, money problems, partying and crime. And rap ain't got shit on classic country for drug use & crime - Nashville ran on cocaine, amphetamines, barbiturates and booze for 50 years.
Absolutely - great points. However, rap had, and I think still has, clans, infighting and embedded gang-like "pecking" order. We all know what happened to Tupac and Biggie among others. There are dozen or so rappers currently in jail. Either everyone is trying to rap, or something is off.
Not a music I consider of a high quality. Can't compare to jazz or blues for instance. Even modern pop is better, not even getting into alternative or rock/metal.
This is my opinion. Everyone has the right to have one.
Rap appeals to some people - maybe it's the lifestyle being portrayed.
Oh cool we can drop like 50 years of musical and cultural history because FirstNameBunchOfNumbers is the objective authority here, huh.
I'm sure there's an open spot on the Kennedy Center board you can pick up?
50 years of rap, hmm? R&B, blues, jazz - all great. Rap has always glorified violence and lifestyle that is of certain "quality" - I get why it appeals to a lot of people. Being popular doesn't mean it's objectively good. Cereals are super popular as breakfast food. But, they're far from good.
Yes, 50 years - 1973 was slightly more than 50 years ago, y'all's best efforts to stop time and progress to the contrary. Although I'm curious what world you live in where white people music - that being the music stolen from black people slightly earlier on - never celebrated violence?
Why bring race in every discussion? Calm down with that rhetoric and accept that other people might have opinions different than yours. Might - no, definitely.
It's definitely a "me" problem.... I am happy to admit it's a Me problem. And I'm also happy to correct this problem by reading up, learning, and listening to his stuff with an open mind, even though rap is not my preferred genre.
I’m more concerned how many Ameticans do not get up & vote or know anything about our government & Constitution than someone not knowing Kendrick Lamar.
It's like country music to me, I just plain and simply don't like it, I guess it's my problem but what ever. I got what he was doing last night though and liked it for that reason.
Not a fan of rap crap, i prefer to listen to music and singers singing/playing an instrument, you know, real musicians. Rap went in the toilet back around the early 1990's. The worst is enema, what a horrible voice. lol
Were they unintelligible? I understood them fine. Does that make me unintelligent? You seem to be going down a particular rhetorical path, here. How unfortunate.
I didn’t either, looked it up on his Wikipedia page. 2018, the music Pulitzer (I didn’t know about that either), first non-jazz/classical artist to win it. Incredible.
How delightfully precious of you...like a 4yr old demanding that you like his favourite TV programme....listen child, Grammies are empty narcissistic ego-preening, Pulitzer prize? well done for knowing 1 winner, there are 100s you've never heard of, your insecurity is the "You" problem
The post is addresing those rw chuds that are hating on the music for no real reason, some hate black guys, some just hate rap because idk drugs ig, some only want other RW musicias to have the stage etc.
I dont even listen to kendrick but diminishing his importance just for a "gotcha" is dumb idk
I listen to mostly grunge and metal so he wasn't on my radar but I listened to some of his music and I can definitely appreciate it! I love that he made Trump leave early! That's so awesome.
How is it a problem? I could name a dozen people with awards in science and technology that you never heard of, but it's not a problem. I don't let it bother me that I don't know who pop culture folks are. Get a grip.
Even as a person who doesn't listen to rap... I know who Kendrick is. If his hate towards pedos is this strong, I'm here for it. He was so strong, the little orange cheetos mushroom had to leave. If our justice system failed us this bad, at least make him run.
I can appreciate him as an artist but having not heard much of his music it was hard to follow. I’m sure his die hard fans loved it tho. Everyone is so quick to hate but good for him. It was probably a dream come true for him.
I feel bad cause the only song I know is "pray for me" I'm a Marvel fan Love the statement he made ,even though I didn't watch because of Trump and Elons commercials and they took "Stop Racism " out of the end field
I've been hearing about it all day
I support what he did So job well done 😊
Even though they took off stop Racism the message was still there. With the commercials the entertainment and the Eagles won. They only showed Trump once as he was standing there saluting and he is a dodger from going to the military. He was booed along with the chiefs
Tell me why this great star lipsynced his performance at the superbowl, I caught it ,closed mouth but still singing, big fraud big pass , but , Maga hated the show so it was the best halftime show in history
This AA 68 year old woman is loving some Kendrick Lamar! IMO It’s important whether U like/not as U mature to grow w/the generation that ☝🏾day will be responsible for wiping your ass/putting U in a nursing home corner! Not a fan of rap,BUT RESPECT this young artist for his inspiration & intellect!
When I was in my 30s, well over 30 years ago, I noticed many of my peers were falling behind on keeping up with contemporary music. I thought they were nuts & swore that would never happen to me. And it has not.
Kendrick Lamar is an introspective poetic & storytelling genius & his beats are sick.
I do like Kendrick Lamar, but there’s been other halftime show artists that I didn’t like or know about so much. And that’s fine. If you don’t like it just don’t watch the halftime
Comments
I'm out of touch for sure, but in this era of culture/politics I wish I was living under a rock.

ME
I don't care, you got no excuse
But I hear he pisses off assholes, and that's a win in my book.
I have the musical tastes of a 60 year old man with a handlebar moustache wearing a bowling shirt in Brooklyn, and that is my cross to bear. I don't talk smack about other people's genres because it's rude.
I'd do the same with rap music, when I get around to playing some.
He won 22 Grammys and a damn Pulitzer, you’re entitled to a subjective opinion like “I don’t enjoy his music” but to say someone so decorated is “untalented shit” just makes you sound really stupid, and probably racist 😂
(Not sarcasm.... genuinely don't know "yet")
Goofball.

And real rap not this politically charged muppet music made by a has been smurf.
Mfer IRGC was paying me 20k dollars a month for initiation, you gotta pay at least 500k a month for the privilege to ask for music and shit.
Blame my age and focused passion for jazz, rock and blues.
Sorry, he is obviously a very talented young man!
Flashback to my parents ..”Rolling what?”
He’s not cool like Miles Davis. Im not a fan.
And I'm 1000% behind him.
then again… i’m older, was never into rap, and am born deaf, so i don’t “absorb” music around me, i have to intentionally find music + lyrics and set aside several days
but i can appreciate what i’ve read about him. wow! looking for the 1/2 time asl terp now
I learned a lot last night.
Huge respect for Kendrick.
I loved seeing Serena!
I'm a 62yr old black woman, so his music isn't of my generation but I loved it!
The whole Superb owl is a giant waste of money. Too much money is wasted on this nonsense
Interesting and unexpected.
I need to know what musical jug player is popular in flyover country
There have been 76 Pulitzer music winners - I doubt many people would recognise many.
Love that his art is such that you have to understand it. High art.
Look, give me John Coltrane, Buddy Guy, Vernon Ried, Stanley Clarke, those guys could play!
This stuff is just boring
I love a whole lot of music across all genres.
Music is the one thing that should transcend colour!
If you resonate with the words, the beat/rhythm, why limit yourself?
I grew up with parents who loved everything so their influence rubbed off and I am blessed because of this.
attention to was the New York Dolls. Does he tear Nellie Bonespurs and VD Vance a third fecal orifice? Fine by me.
But I hear good things about KL and about his recent performance so, you know, good for him. Fuck the haters.
But a hit dog will holler.

#KendrickLamar #SuperBowl #HalftimeShow
I've friends who do so I'd heard of him, but otherwise I rarely ever know who's popular. I just don't care; I listen to what I like.
“Nowhere in the league of Mercury…” put your shirt back on, man.
People who are angry at Lamar, maybe need to direct their energy towards the racist, rapist, misogynist, fascist trump instead.
What was the message?
Sorry I missed him. Not sorry I avoided wasting my time on that game. I hate slaughters - no matter who wins or loses.
I love Bluesky for that - friendly supportive people and interactions.
That’s some impressive lighting and choreography
(Category creep and reorganization are both common with awards shows so those achievements aren't directly comparable.)
Yeah that’s also a You problem
I think I'll survive.
If that's considered by you as a Me problem, it's a pointless burden I'm happy to totally ignore.
Maybe you should have happily ignored this discussion rather than bragging on your own ignorance and lack of curiosity.
All of those awards are for music. I don't understand what you were referring to.
This is my opinion. Everyone has the right to have one.
Rap appeals to some people - maybe it's the lifestyle being portrayed.
As evidenced by the mountain of awards he has.
I'm also not naive to think that awards are always given to the artist that deserves it best.
Besides all this, music style is a personal preference. Does an artist need to have awards (many) for you to like it?
I'm sure there's an open spot on the Kennedy Center board you can pick up?
Classical music was not stolen from black people.
In spite of this, I am still familiar with Kendrick Lamar.
IDK about the Pulitzer Prize but a Pulitzer Prize never made me want to dance and sing.
So, basically, adulting and growing. 😀 😍
How come he has 22 grandmothers?
🥸
Don’t come at me with your crazy expectations that I have a critical mass of pop culture over the past decade. 😆
Go ahead and stay an asshole, I guess.
I’m not qualified to help you with emotional issues.
So best of luck to you. From this interaction, you have a long path ahead.
