UHC is the umbrella, M4A is just one route. ACA was based on the German UHC model w the public option killed by ONE senator. But it's a pipe dream now.

It's a pipe dream FOR now. But that's no reason to stop fighting and demanding it. Look at Syria. Because people kept fighting for the last decade plus, suddenly, Assad had to flee to Moscow.
Fighting. Well. That is horrific, and they lived w constant death and dismemberment. Thousands were gassed w ricin. This isn't a march on Washington. This is bare survival and violence DAILY for over a decade. Nothing romantic or easy at all. Starvation is a real possibility. Think upon it well.
Fighting doesn't automatically mean violence. I mean fighting for what's right. And I'm in no way implying any of this is romantic or easy in the slightest.
OK. I've had too much political violence in my life to not be wary of what people mean in "fight". Too often it's romanticized "to the barricades" crap. Those working for justice on many fronts are dead. I cannot take it lightly. It's not romantic. It can be disastrous. Thanks for clarity.
Thank you.
I'm big on history, and it seems history has taught that's it's usually the nonviolent movements that win the day, so speaking for myself, "fight" definitely means nonviolent confrontation. Heck...look at South Korea! That's how you do it, IMHO.
S. Korea is the size of NJ. They don't have guns. Big difference. Reasoning from one to another is not helpful. Maybe we can wrest this country from fascism without violence. Greece did in the 60s due to the junta's ineptness, but we will have to see.
You really think tyranny ends non-violently? I will always stand up for what I believe in, but the system is going to dig in before multimillionaires will give up their gigs.
Yes, tyranny does implode on itself now and then. Look at post revolutionary France, Italy, Chile, Spain. Greece, Brazil. Argentina before they just re-upped. Incompetence helps bring it down far less violently. Likely to be true here, too. Anything protecting people. minimizing loss of life is OK.
They, ignorant but rich, believe Social Darwinism is survival of the fit, meaning wealthy. Darwin knew it was survival of the most adaptable. The tiny shrew survived when the T. Rex died out. Brawn and money aren't it. Wits and careful assessment of resources is.

Earned you a follow, Y. Marie.
That's why you keep fighting for what's right, no matter what.
