160 years ago tonight, just days after the Confederate surrender, President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated while attending the play Our American Cousin at Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C. He died the next morning, April 15, at 7:22 a.m.

Just on dates, it is ironic or something how the Election of Roosevelt was November 5th 1940 and Abe here November 6th 1860. November 5th 2024 is now another historical date, for different reasons.
Like the Trump administration needs a legitimate reason to declare martial law...
Tbh I'm a little surprised we haven't already had our version of a Reichstag fire, but I feel like it'll come before the end of the year, regardless of whether Donnie still has a pulse or not.
Rest in peace, Abraham. You're my favorite. I've always looked up to your strength. I pray that I can muster one like it
As we face this constitutional crisis, and brave people gather to hear the likes of Bernie and AOC... I hope that enough of your spirit is with them to save what you once did.
Contrary to popular belief, Lincoln wasn't assassinated because he freed the slaves. Lincoln was killed because he brought forth the notion that black people should be given the right to vote. This led to his assassination.
She maybe we should let Trump go to the Kennedy center sit up in the balcony and maybe we can re-create the Lincoln incident I don’t think he’d wanna play along do you?
Reconstruction could’ve been about healing—not punishment. Freedmen might’ve had a real shot at equality early on. The South could’ve rebuilt with dignity, not bitterness. Maybe we’d be a more united, just America today.
We must never forget that every American generation has been challenged by the forces of white supremacy and oligarchy, and only by the unflagging efforts of people who refuse to let it perish has it survived.
Visit the Lincoln Memorial once or more in your life. Take your time. Read Lincoln’s words inscribed on the walls. It’s hallowed ground. His death changed so so much for the worse. A tragedy.

Souther Strategy
It’s the Confederacy now
Sadly it's a thing see far too common these days, including my own land here in Australia. Hate rates in politics these days.
And when that happens, government agents can just grab people off the street and send them to death camps.
Oh…..

One bullet stole that future.
