I do not see how this punitive USDA review does anything to further the administration's case and probably hurts it, as they are not going after University of Maine for Title IX violations but simply because they receive federal funding.
For the USDA, Trump feels he has a hold of disinformation and political prosecutions can begin.
Not quite there yet for other branches of the administration.
Probably also worth noting that the winner of this year's Class B state indoor championships pole vault, the one that has the GOP up in arms, vaulted nowhere close to the state record, set last year by Sarah Ouellette, and would've only tied for first in 2023.
