The king asks the PM to form a government in his name, that part is true. However via that statement it is perfectly reasonable to conclude, it's his government to form. He's the one forming it after all. Both can be true.

The double standards are just a bonus.

This highlights the acidic tone of the right wing press towards Starmer’s govmt. From the outset they’ve sought to delegitimise & undermine his government at every turn. They’ve caused the current negativity in our society, not the hard but necessary decisions taken in the budget to fix the mess.
