Hahaha, hilarious. The machine in the supermarket I go to works great and each time I take the bread out I am a bit scared. It will leave my hand in slices too.😨
Huh. I've never seen a vertical one. The ones I've seen have the bread lay flat, and have little teeth on a rail that holds it still and pushes it forward into a circular saw that pokes in and out in one spot.
That's what you get with automation. Lol!! I used to work at a bakery with a bread slicer. The blades would get dull and gummed up, but it still could slice bread better than this stupid machine.
"I'm going to invent a bread cutting robot!"
"We already have those."
"But this will be a robot!"
"The things he have work-"
"It will look cool! And we'll get a bunch of investment for it!"
"But what we have now works better!"
"Better isn't cooler!"
"And you wander why people hate you."
Modern techbrodom has played out like a cheesy 90s sitcom: a bullied nerd kid who desperately wants to be cool, invents some gadget is in fact cool and people notice, but all the attention makes him fumble everything and destroy half the school

When the bread slicer hallucinates: [unspeakable]
The bread, and invention, in question:
"We already have those."
"But this will be a robot!"
"The things he have work-"
"It will look cool! And we'll get a bunch of investment for it!"
"But what we have now works better!"
"Better isn't cooler!"
"And you wander why people hate you."
"What do you mean your work is done, you didn't do anything"
"Didn't I?"
