Trying to figure out how to travel internationally with my semaglutide shots is fun. Like, I just want to know if it’s okay to bring with me! Why make this so hard‽

I’ve traveled quite a bit internationally with injectable meds, and yes, you can bring them. You’ll want to have them in your carryon (and you can have them cooler bag or similar). I always make sure I have the prescription info with it and will tell security that I have injectable medication…
And that it has to stay cold so there’s an ice pack with them. I’ve never had an issue - I’ve had questions from customs basically confirming they’re prescriptions but even that’s rare.
One med I take is an auto injector pen, the other is one I use syringes for and honestly, the questions I’ve had have always been around the syringes/needles.
Thank you!! It’s an auto injector and I bought a small ice pack TSA approved bag to put them in. I’m gonna pack it with the prescription info and give them a heads up. I was most concerned about customs, but if they take it from me, I’ll live. It’s not like insulin.
You’re more than welcome! Yeah, one of mine is hella expensive so I did a lot of research and checking before the first time I traveled with it because while skipping wouldn’t kill me, it isn’t ideal and replacing it wouldn’t be an option if they did take it. And thankfully, never had an issue!
I knew y'all were going to York and Scotland, at least. She took her Victoza and insulin. I guess Victoza (RIP?) isn't exactly the same as the others, but if it made it through, surely the more popular ones would.
