Yes!! I never understood exactly why his presidency was viewed so negatively (& I lived through those years as a young adult). Yes, I get all the inflation/energy issues (mostly things he could not directly control), & yes, he spoke truths that many/most Americans didn't want to hear. A great man!

I agree with you. I guess that Psdt Carter suffered from the comparaison with Reagan who surfed on a very favorable international period. Carter was maybe the last Psdt to act more than communicate

My favorite ex kept his diary, uhh I'll be honest in his bathroom, but with the best of intentions. I leafed through it a few times while there. This ex was the first person to tell me (since I wasn't here in 1980 and also was a child) that his presidency was far better than he got credit for.
