Not skates or competition outfits but yes to outerwear, off-ice footwear and other sportswear. Nike includes skaters in winter Olympic ads, but it would have been natural to include them in this ad.
Sha'Carri Richardson made a comeback after doing drugs. What example is Nike setting here? All the athletes looked brutal, and I could easily choose any of them to assist me in a bar fight.
Europe's preoccupation with Ukraine has left Israel in a precarious position, forcing us to rely on our own resources in the face of overwhelming adversity.
Super Bowl ads are really hit-or-miss. The LIX Nike ad, however, hits with the force of an earth-bound kinetic round launched from an orbital weapons platform.
Can someone tell me why all the commercials meant to inspire/uplift girls feature songs by men?
Girls Flag Football - Rock You Like A Hurricane
Nike - Whole Lotta Love
KeepHerConfident (Dove) - Born to Run
At least the last one was a cover by H.E.R., but c'mon folks!
I can't say for certain, but maybe it's because these songs are from the formative years of a certain generation of men who are trying to take over the country and take away womens' freedom, and this sort of thing gets their attention. It could be telling them something like "go fuck yourself".
Maybe but I doubt it.
A) SB ads already have attention. If trying to keep eyeballs of misogynists,"hot" gals wouldn't need LedZep rights
B) SNF theme is Carrie Underwood singing reworked Joan Jett song
C) They're virtue signalling performative gestures created by corporations preaching to the choir
The Nike ads were π especially considering the times weβre in with all these other corporations bending the knee. Now I need to buy a pair of Nikes.
My stepson watching this ad and said, genuinely confused, βbut girls do all those thingsβ. I genuinely hope some of us are out here raising a better generation.
