Here is my take on the situation. This is a bit basic, however we need to start at basics to understand what, if anything, can be done to reverse it.

What can we do as Americans to help change and hold our elected officials accountable for their actions? How can we limit their power? The checks and balances are gone. I don't believe they ever existed.
