It's an error to think that all the institutions betraying us are doing so out of "fear". To many, this administration is emboldening, a convenient excuse to drop the pretenses and embody their true values.

Institutions that are complying are telling us their values.
They will try to blame Trump or “pressure” or whatever. But when they know how to refuse to comply.
A lot of them just got permission to do what they were already doing secretly. That’s especially true for discrimination.
