YEP! We need fighters like Jasmine Crockett, not the corporate owned stooges that hold us back and fear to tell the truth, starting with calling Trump a Fascist. As in sorry if the truth hurts.
Obstruct and run out the clock. Vote no on everything, no matter what. File articles of impeachment every day. Just stand up and wander around the chamber. Make them arrest you if they want to get anything done.
✨Protest if you are physically able
-look up orgs in your area doing protests and either sign up for newsletter or keep tabs.
✨Volunteer for local organization
-Find an org doing work you support. Civil rights, protest organization, LGBT center, women's shelter, community aid.
✨ Download 5 Calls and make your calls daily
✨Donate $ to org doing work you support, whether local or an org working on lawsuits challenging unconstitutional shit
✨Join a group for postcard drives
✨Hand out leaflets about Post Office privatization in front of your local Post Office
✨Call your relatives and talk with them about your concerns about the unconstitutional actions being taken. Be prepared with true human stories as well as facts
✨Make a zine about one aspect of what's going on and leave them *everywhere*
✨Get offline and into your community. See a need, fill a need
If it doesn’t bring them more donations it just doesn’t feel good to them. They weigh the value of fear on every issue & those that bring in the most money are the last to be dealt with. There’s abortion, min wage, gay marriage, trans rights, healthcare that should all have been solved decades ago.
It goes against their basic nature. Democrats are con artists. They use charismatic liars who make people feel protected and warm. HOPE, JOY style campaign themes while committing genocide, ignoring the homeless, the victims of disasters, people who are different. They use women as pawns for votes!
Natural consequence of the party effectively being a professional club of fundraisers who occasionally do politics. These people were elevated because they avoid any friction they can. Their brains don't know how to be rude to someone wearing a suit.
Yeah I understand, but a lot of rank and file look to leadership for their cues. They've been told for so long that there's a "right" way to protest that involves making yourself completely invisible. They begin to think, "we're not supposed to be loud and crass!"
Look at how many Democratic voters were saying Biden cannot do student debt forgiveness a few years ago, then he did and they immediately changed their mind.
It's not infantilising to say people take cues from the politicians they support.
I think you're illiterate. I think you read this post, came to the wrong conclusions about what was being said, and when confronted about it, tried to find a way to justify your reading rather than just admitting you missed the mark.

2. This trapped thinking about the ways you can engage in political action is why we are here.
3. This isn't aimed at politicians. Read it. Your racist uncle.
Maybe even get arrested once in a while
I think this kind of infantilizing of other humans is counterproductive.

Oh, that's right, the guy who promised to do that and make college free.
Thank you for proving my point.
