In West Los Angeles we’re fighting them off in our urban neighborhoods. They’re the ones actually eating the cats—and recently attacked four dogs on a leash and a couple young kids. It’s a huge issue and people get too caught up in these glamor articles to make sane choices to control the population

Always a good idea! In addition to the dangers of predators & vehicles, cats can pick up many diseases outdoors & give them to you. Toxoplasmosis is one that is especially dangerous in pregnant women. It can cause brain damage or blindness in the baby. Cats are the biggest killer of songbirds too.

Of course we don’t feed the wildlife! I even stopped putting out birdfood because the rats would highwire over to eat the seeds. In SF there are a ton of rats, mice, possums, gophers and other small creatures that the coyote hunt and eat. Don’t worry — you can see it’s healthy!

In suburban Chicago. This guy was just across the street as I walked my 130 lb Newfoundland. He didn't budge. They've actually confronted us other times. They surrounded a mom with a toddler another time. I'm 70 years old & grew up in the area. This is all new as of the last few years.

We live in IL near a well groomed golf course. Coyotes roam allover. They never seem concerned about people. Always focused on food or shelter. I love that they are finding food to support their existence in the neighborhood.
