They will happily take a larger share of the pie even if it means the total pie is smaller. They are largely insulated from the consequences of it, and the lower classes having any pie is a threat.

Conflates pro-business with pro-capital, in the same way I think a lot of business folks did. They backed a pro-capital candidate thinking him pro-business like past GOP candidates. But capitalists only see a resource to extract, not a foundation to build upon. They are looting power from the people

What I mean is the other capitalists are on board with that because they can participate in the looting (or think they can), not because they care about what’s good for business. Actual business folks either misjudged, or I think more predominantly aspire to be pure-capitalist looters.
