Does anyone else find it hard to search people on here? I often find that people are not searchable by their names. And I often will miss that they are following me. Anyway, it is one thing about this platform I find a bit harder. Maybe I am doing it wrong. - ThreadSky

Yes. You need to use the account name which hopefully is the real name of the person. I think this is to encourage openness and genuine accounts.

I search by Twitter handle first then by name. It’s useful if people moving over here use the same handle and profile pic, and put their BSky address in their Twitter bio.

If you check your notifications if anyone has followed you they show up there. It is hard getting used to a new system. They don't have trending hashtags like Twitter does. I go to people I am following & check their followers for people I may want to follow.

Yeah 14,000 people have followed in two weeks so it’s a bit hard to keep track of notifications. But this is more me looking for looking for experts/case studies/public figures and seeing if they are here (to use this as the same work tool I did X). Sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t.

Yes. Sometimes ppl who have accounts don't show up. I'm never quite certain as to whether someone hasn't shown up because they're not here, or because their account is invisible to me.

Have you tried searching for starter packs based on topics that interest you? There is also a good browser plugin called Sky Follower Bridge that will skim your Twitter and find anyone who is here for you to follow.

My other gripe is that there's no provision for user profiles to include geographical locations so that posts make more sense and can quickly and easily be identified. Not all posts are of interest to the reader.
