If we think of confirmation hearings for Trump's second term appointments as an opportunity to air his past crimes, it might gets us through a few months.

Marcy,
Absolutely. I've worked at some of the largest corporations in the world and when there is a change of leadership or outside corporate merger there is always a huge culture shock. For our existing federal agencies, team Trump's arrival will meet quiet quitting is the new black. Buckle up.
Check this out.

It's definitely an opportunity for him to air his past crimes. The problem is, he's airing them as bragging rights of what he got away with and will continue to get away with, only worse this time around.
This is a good point. Maybe the Americans who aren't totally in a cult who have amnesia about his prior presidency will be reminded of the utter chaos and horribleness of it. One can only hope.
I'll feel alot better with some reassurance that there's going to BE confirmation hearings. Folks please call your Senators and politely express the need for "advise and consent"!
I think that Democrats need to advance articles of impeachment as soon as he takes office, on the grounds that he's a proven rapist and convicted felon. It might not work, but it would complicate his ability to damage the world.
It's also an opportunity to remind everyone he's disqualified from office for trying to end the republic, and none of his appointments will be legitimate anyway.
We should also be demanding to see decades of his tax returns, his health records, his birth certificate, Melania's Epstein and immigration records and how many intelligence agents he got killed by passing our secrets to Vlad et al.
😂 Trump needs leverage over every appointee & their Jan6 secrets & criminal behavior. Trump handing out appointments rather than pardons -keeps them compromised & obedient to the king of crimes. Funny because Putin holds Trump leash. Jared collects millions either way.
This could work. Pam Bondi received a bribe from TFG’s slush Foundation to drop the University fraud case. Bonus reminder: he’s not trusted to run a uni, charity or a business.
AG Nominee Question 1: if an armed mob attacked your workplace , and an assailant was coming through a window into a room where you were sheltering, what would be the proper law enforcement response?
Nominee: uh, it depends…like are they ya know…like nice people from the burbs?
It's such a target-rich environment: the number of nominees with "no credible allegations of sex pestery" in their "pros" column is just shockingly small.
That's excellent for state of mind, and also a strategy. Just keep beating them and their voters with this information, whether they pay attention or not in their silos which wouldn't include hearings of course.
Trump can appoint anybody he wants for up to 2 years if Senate is in recess at the time. That's what he wants. It's important for folks to call/message their senators and respectfully and polite express the need for confirmation hearings.
The problem I have is JD is probably MORE dangerous! And can you just IMAGINE little Johnson being elevated? The bench is NOT something that gives me peace...

The only way for the Senate to actually consent to anything is through hearings & votes.
