Project 2025 was mostly the goals of the far religious right. Their goal is social control - curriculum, gender roles - so they still need a functional state. But DOGE is the Silicon Valley fascists. They genuinely want to destroy the state, believing they'll rule over whatever new world emerges.

The two groups are aligned but their goals are not identical. Project 2025 requires that there still be a state of some sort. A smart opposition would try to widen that division and exploit it.

Am truly surprised there's been no pushback from the religious right yet. Last year we also saw that the Evangelical leaders were not all-in for Russia - they were lobbied to protect Christian churches in Ukraine, and it worked. But now we have full Russia and full destruction, and they're silent.

Yes, Leo is one of the "Olds"; those are just selected folks. Leo didn't publicly lean in to Jan 6 like the fundamentalist Evangelicals did, though many of the legal teams were Catholic (e.g. Thomas More Society). Interestingly Leo seems to be allying with the "News" now... 1/2
