to consider affixing them.

If the goal is to deter people from buying Teslas, this is actually quite effective as a strategy. Even Musk acolytes will reconsider buying when the cost to insure a Tesla against vandalism becomes astronomical. Dealerships will also be paying a fortune for insurance.
