New from me: The Trump administration isn't just shutting down ongoing or future USAID contracts — it's refusing to pay for ~$1.5 billion in work that's already been done around the world. That blatant disregard for compensating people's labor comes from the superrich men at the top.

Never expect an American to come to your aid unless there’s something in it for them. And then they won’t leave.
There’s always payback. Always more than you can afford or wanted or ever thought reasonable.
..if I see an American injured, say in the street, and the do need some help should I (1) Only offer to help if they first agree to give me everything in their wallet or (2) act like a human being and render what aid I can.
