My wife and I have been snippy with each other lately which is weird because we’re both perfect human beings. She said she thinks the news is getting to us. I think she’s right.

I agree with your wife. I'm a mental health counselor and have the patience of Job, but it's like every hour, there's something new and equally catastrophic...
Saying these sorts of things out loud so we can all commiserate is a good healthy thing, cause I think a huge chunk of us are experiencing the same thing. The best rebellion I can get at the moment is deep kindness to the people around me cause at the very least they won’t take that.
"Between the two of us, we average two perfect humans. You are very welcome to ride my coat-tails, as that's what a more-than-perfect person would permit."
Same. I’m a generally upbeat, positive person but yesterday I was accused of being grumpy. He watches the headlines from different “news” sources and seemed offended when I suggested that Fox was poisoning his mind…🤷♀️

Oh. Yeah, she’s right.
Well, maybe me...
Oh my god...
Breathe, stay mindful, and let emotions flow—this brings clarity and breaks the cycle of panic.
We will need clear focus and strength going forward.
That didn’t go over too well with me last night.
Thanks for calling this out. The news really effects me and bleeds into my personal relationships.
