Wow, that's bad!

The Fagles translation is what we have to teach. It's got a fine looking cover

I prefer the Lattimore translation to the Fagles but yea these are terrible

I haven't read any translation besides Fagles.

It has a fantastic audio version read by Sir Ian McKellen .

The Fagles isn’t bad, it’s very good English. But he takes some liberties with the Greek at times.

ooohh I recently saw the Fagles in a bookstore and it had the same classic art, thank GOODNESS 💀

I don’t like the Iliad but it’s not as bad. The Odyssey art is insanely stupid.

was gonna say i think this iliad is kind of fine, agreed on the odyssey though

It’s not great, but it reminds me of Rocco’s modern life, which i don’t mind

When I see a cover that looks like it was made in ms paint like that odyssey one I always wonder what went into the process
