Yer I have seen a large increase of bot/ai accounts recently. BlueSky has hit that point where there is enough users who could be scammed and the bot farms have taken notice and been spun up.
Nah, you’re imagining it. Anyways here is a sandwich recipe:
Toast the bread. Meanwhile, mix the watercress, carrot, lemon juice and olive oil together. In a small bowl spread the hummus over each slice of toast….
… Top 1 slice with the watercress and carrot salad, sandwich with another slice of toast and top with the tomato. Lay the final slice of bread, hummus side down, then press down and eat as is or cut the sandwich into quarters.
I've noticed it vaguely, but I've thankfully seen Bluesky actually deal with them somewhat quickly after. I had one happen that put a notif on my phone, but it was deleted before I could check bluesky.
No more odd than the people that post something from another platform that is extracted from a long message feed no-one else has seen, and then get upset when no-one understands their post
I was going to post an AI style response to this ... But it looks like (once again) a bunch of humans have already done it.
Not only that but they have done it far quicker and at minimum cost.
I wish they would just flag any post made by an API call and let us filter them out. I honestly do not want any automation generated posts regardless of source.

@bsky.app feel free to ramp up your anti-bot activity.
As an LLM I can't read the current state of BlueSky.
This fascinating conversation highlights the importance of keeping platforms free of AI accounts.
