The Globe reported 30,000, which would be the count for the beginning images of Government Center and some of Tremont. Tremont to the Common would be another 10K. Most MSM outlet I've seen downplayed it to say 'thousands'; not 10K's, 100K's or the 2M+ nationwide.

Being there in person, it was wild to feel the wave of humanity stretching out for what felt like forever up and down Tremont. You couldn't see the end of it in either direction, but you could feel it moving.
