Hiroshima was a massacre, but it wasn't a genocide. The most likely alternative would have been a rush to enact Operation Downfall following Soviet attacks on the Kurils. Based on Okinawa, Downfall was expected to result in millions of Japanese civilian deaths.

It's a shameful demonstration of ignorance of American history. Naming your plane was a custom in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. My dad flew during World War II and his plane was called the Boobie Trap. They all flew for freedom.
