I just spent nearly 2 months in Europe and the UK. Everyone was aware of the 51st state stuff. No one got the Canadiano thing, even when primed.

Despite all the US crap going on, I still call them Americanos. The name came out of making fun of American-style coffee. It’s literally weak and watered down.

In Europe, they're ok with learning something new. Here in Paris, we order the Canadacano at Dog Eared Cafe.
