I think part of it is that these groups think that the media environment is failing the general public with regards to what is going on.

I agree with you anyhow, but it seems like they're in the "get other people mad" phase, even though they should be in the make demands and educate why phase.

Some of the signs at the protests do say impeach. But right now we're just trying to get people used to being out in the streets protesting. We need to teach people that they, too, need to be out protesting. Everyone against fascism needs to be out there.

We already tried impeachment twice last time. The Republicans wouldn't vote to convict then, and they are even less likely to convict this time.

I don't believe that impeachment will do anything at this point. Only a critical mass of people in the streets and eventual clashes with enforcers from the fascist regime will accomplish anything.

The purpose, in my opinion, is to make the regime so afraid of the masses of people increasingly protesting that they will abandon their power and flee. That's what often happens in some other countries.

Who is scared to call for his removal? Not us protestors. I organized one of the impeachment rallies last time around. Trump supporters showed up and tried to intimidate us. They failed.

None of the objections you covered are the real objections. The real objections are that the Republicans wouldn't convict twice before and are much less likely to do so now. Also, they are less likely to convict if they are scared of him, not more likely.

I already read your thread. You literally made the argument that if the Republicans are afraid they would want to commit and put him in handcuffs. They will do the opposite. And impeachment doesn't put a pres in handcuffs. It just removes him from office, leaving the oligarchs in power still.

I go back and forth on some of your criticisms but yeah the call has to be for his removal otherwise what are we all doing? What does "Hands Off" mean here? Obviously they aren't going to back down and even if they did they already committed crimes. So...fire the abuser and throw him in jail.
