I work in the NHS, they were not happy when they found out I was elected. I was told to 'chose'. I ignored it... But some employers won't be fully cooperative
It would be amusing if she ends up joining the Corbyn affiliation.
Probably wouldn't be a bad idea.
Grandpa can mentor a neophyte.
Couldn’t happen to nicer people.
Let them take a hefty pay cut and work for the people who voted for them.

And they can't even get that from inside their own factions. Let alone everyone else.
But this is beneath expectations.
It would seem they have a plan for protest but no plan to turn up!!
Bloody amazing!!
Also are not a portfolio holder or cabinet member.
At Waverley Borough council (50 members) it's definitelyn much more than " a few hours a week": closer to 20, all told. I'd estimate fewer than half are in full time employment.
For a county council, I'd expect it to be even more hours.
Win-win
Sering as a county cllr is time consuming, in many cases including daytime meetings. Even at district level, it's not easu to find people with suitable expertise, still in well-paid jobs, willing to take on executive positions. At county level, even more difficult.
Quite likely that we will see by-elections coming up in the new Reform seats.

I wish them many complaints and very public scorn.
And critical, experienced eyes watching.
I say let them lift.
I mean it's RefUK for goodness sake, did anyone expect them to field even half-decent candidates at all?
As you say it's a ridiculous parody of a political party.

Alas not, I now have a Reform councillor.😡
Many or all of those meetings will require preparation, with documents to read and consider.
- the Council has a bunch of committees that need to be filled, in party balance.
- depending on the setup…
- there might also be sub areas which have their own meetings
Beyond that, it would be expected that councillors have surgeries where constituents raise issues to try and fix
For me....it was full on. For some it's 20 hrs a month.
They knew what they were signing up for.
The sensible parties can ignore Refuk if they cooperate.
