It's like singers performing 'standard' songs, changing timing, inflection, tonality & tempo to make it 'their own'.

It's a song, just a bloody song, sound good first time round rarely works when reinvented

Which is why I often get fed up of 'live' acts who can't perform their songs as they did.

Agree except for Mulhern. For me he lacks the same level of charisma or natural engagement with the players. Freddie looked awkward, but whether it was the format or his post accident self I don't know.
