The simple, basic, fundamental mistake that measures of productivity used for repetitive, easy to measure work, can be applied to other fields. A 10 minute longer chat with a patient by a GP could, save the patients life and the NHS millions in treatment. How can you cost that. You simply can't.

Not bizarre imo. Since its inception forces that would benefit from a nightmare private system have sought to delegitimise the NHS in order to justify dismantling it. This kind of propaganda should be recognised for the motivated deceit that it is.

To my mind it's not the front line staff that's the problem. There is enough evidence to point the finger at strange management growth; wasteful and bloated procurement chains.
The coal face is not there to satisfy woke, dei or other proclivities.

I think maybe see it in a different way! The ways of working need updating as they allow for low productivity not the people doing the roles.

All of above + well designed processes. Was in A&E last week & the amount of time wasted was staggering. One nurse comes from one door calling someone who’s just gone off in the other direction with another nurse. Searching nurse then spends minutes looking. Happened multiple times in 10 hours there

Solving problems for patients instead of handing them another dozen back, less of the gold plating and empire building, and a certain degree of timeliness without having to keep an eye out for mistakes which derail everything. That's worth paying for. The NHS healthcare I get isn't.

Absolutely! NHS staff carried me, literally sometimes, through breast cancer. Why is it so difficult to understand that you get the best from people if you treat them well. It would be hard to find a more maligned & disrespected group of staff anywhere. The drive for privatisation drives this bile.
