Hydrogen F-ing peroxide
Far fewer GI bleeds than naproxen or ibuprofen
But until it is I’ll stick to the lesser because it’s actually available when I need it.
It does nothing to soften anything.
Olive oil has shown to be better and consistent in use as a stool softener.
Yet colace is given to all patients in the hospital!
It is OTC but should just not exist.
I highly recommend a tablespoon of olive oil on an empty stomach
I’m not a fan of oral diphenhydramine because it’s so sedating but if I’m already anxious it makes the anxiety worse AND I’m sedated AND I can’t sleep so I haven’t taken it in years. Other than in NyQuil when I’ve felt particularly awful.
It’s half life is 9 hours and apparently it screws with your REM cycles. All of which produce the benedryl hangover
Shit, we had primatene mist for years and that did absolutely nothing but cause tachycardia.

Some people repeat it 12 hrs later, but since I dose in the mornings a 12 hr dose keeps me up at night.
I do repeat it at 24 hrs post mtx dose (when I get a second or continued wave of fatigue).
Second the motion for albuterol as well.
