New from me: In the days after George Floyd’s death, Ben Shapiro said conservative and police calls for Derek Chauvin’s prosecution was proof that they weren’t racist or oblivious to police abuse.
So what should we make of the fact that he and other right wingers now want Chauvin to be pardoned?

Why has the original video by Darnella Frazier disappeared from the internet?

This is where that gets you.
*Fine with me.
Whenever a conservative says something, its a lie. Every. Single. Time. Its what they are, its like hardcore nazis, its in their very nature.
These idiots don't realize a pardon is only for federal convictions. Pardoning him will make his life MUCH worse.
Shapiro and his ilk are nihilistic opportunists of the worst kind. I'm honestly surprised Ben hasn't converted to Christianity.
He'll still have to serve 22 years in a state prison here in MN and he will NOT have a good time.
But Chauvin wanted to be in federal prison, not state, out of safety concerns. Would he reject the pardon?
unless Chauvin's suicidal, he doesn't want Trump to pardon him
I can easily see Texas refusing to extradite him or allow Minnesota law enforcement to come collect him. I wouldn't expect Minnesota law enforcement to push back very hard, either.
The concept that the universe is knowable, that it has rules, that it is consistent to itself is a positive influence on humanity.
The desert monotheisms (h/t @cstross.bsky.social) are human creations, and, sorry, but we kinda suck.
A Chauvin pardon would galvanize racists, white nationalists, and far-right provocateurs while giving them yet another mascot like Daniel Penny.
Chauvin likely doesn't want a pardo though. If it went through he'd be sent to state prison for 22 years in MN and that would not be a good time. Less protection than federal.
