You can like watching Luis Arraez play, I certainly did when he was a Twin, but a no-power 1B who is also not good at his position is just not a kind of guy that works in baseball now.

Agreed insofar as a lack of power needs to be supplemented by surplus defensive value. But disagree wrt team construction, it’s feasible especially for team like SD to make up power from an another defensive position.
Have to basically hit .350 to be playable... even with no power or walks, that's like a .750/.800 OPS type. That's bare minimum unless you're a great base stealer / gold glove type.
A guy like Arraez is a net minus when he's hitting sub-.300 (he's .274 right now).
But a 'slap hitter' can be exciting when he's getting on base. The Dodgers' Hyeseong Kim is someone to watch. Guy's hitting .400 for now, can steal, and play multiple positions.
