He’s ok and sure serviceable but he’s a coverage liability and not as athletic. I don’t mind him being on the roster but I don’t think he should be starting.
I think he was about to crack that threshold before the injury. They wanted to start him out slow - LBs are rarely ready from the jump & he was injured during training camp - but they've been ramping him up. He was at 70.8% when he got injured. I assume they're working him back up to that.
One of my biggest gripes with a few players *ahem* stokes and quay *ahem* is that somehow they find the block, not the vision for the open hole. Like there’s no effort in the screen defense they just grab a man and hope another players gets there first.
What a damn good play by colby wooden too. He stands up the center (not sure what the LG is doin) and lets Edge get in his lane. And of course Edge being insane to cover two lanes somehow. The LG is definitely gonna get yelled at though
Quay jumps in that first gap 100 out of 100 times. Cooper has the agility to cut back and stay with his guy, and he has the IQ to keep his eyes up in the first place.
I've said it before, but Quay would be a great EDGE if he was born a bit bigger. He can rush well, but that's about it.
A bit bigger and a bit bendier. I do feel like he's been coming along a bit better, but his best role has been as a bit of a chaos creator up the middle.
