So are Jamie Raskin and Elizabeth Warren and Chris Murphy. I'm not sure what Dems expect of their reps, but it sounds like some just want performative bs.
Some of those reps that are fighting need to be VOCAL about it. They need to be seen. Warren and Raskin are great fighters but horrible with connecting with voters - they need to hire media teams that understand the current environment.
Bernie, as usual, was front and center of the fight back. Maybe the most honest voice in America and still not getting credit for it, which is a symptom of the problem
There are others who've also been equally meeting the moment such as Connecticut's Senator @chrismurphyct.bsky.social & Arizona's Senator @captmarkkelly.bsky.social. By applauding and supporting these folks, maybe we can get more of the @democraticpartyhq.bsky.social to climb out from under the bed.
I wished who ever advise the campaign for 2024 would have let Walz cook and not have him play "we have things in common" bullshit during the VP debate. I swear there's GOP operatives in the DNC that sabotaged that campaign.
yeah he can call us back when he stops saying we need more border enforcement when the border enforcement agency is literally sending people to work camps in El Salvador
I feel like people need to reassess who their enemy in all this is, cuz it sure ain't fucking Bernie.
Genuinely, who gives a shit. He's 84, holds massive rallies, passes the torch to AOC and co.
I just don't get the bitching, as though anything erases what he did/does for us. Perspective, people.
It’s good to be principled but yeah when he starts talking about the boarder just “okay grandpa, time for the next person to speak” instead of making it a reason to kill the momentum.
This isn't a random principle for me. ICE is disappearing dissidents. There have been raids in my city. My neighbors and comrades are scared. If Bernie is not going to fight for us, we don't need him.
Yeah, which is why I said it’s best to pull him aside when he starts saying shitty stuff. It’s going to be so much harder to defend anyone if we keep firebombing the coalition whenever the oldest whitest guy says something dumb.
Bernie voted to confirm Marco Rubio. And if he was actually a fighter, he'd be denying unanimous consent on *EVERYTHING* the Senate does. Whatever Bernie once was, he's become too used to being in politics, and needed to pass the torch a decade ago.
But Obama is now finally willing to “break his silence…” We’re saved! The Dem fundraiser chatbot that writes all those emails needs to be deleted. Ughhhh:
There's a chance that people like AOC and Crocket could switch labels and form a new Progressive Party. Then they could leave the Dems alone to be centrists, R's to be the far right, and we could finally have balance.
While that would be more honest, sadly that might well ensure that no non-Republican president or congressperson ever gets elected again due to splitting the vote. It would be hard to persuade the US electorate to not think in dualities.
He’s the governor of Illinois. You’d probably recognize him if you saw him. He appears on MSNBC and you’re like, “uh oh. What sort of MAGA horeshit is going to come out of this guy’s trap?” And then he talks and he’s as lefty as Walz, but with less folksiness. He means business.
It's weird, I just never imagined Americans needing leaders to mobilize themselves, especially pols.
Traditionally, Americans have had to take to the streets on their own to shake the pols up. Now they're waiting around to be led by them. What happened to Americans??
Conservative politicians (including centrist Democrats) worked together since the late 1800s to force schools to teach milquetoast, watered down versions of history that attribute everything to strong leaders and not mass movements. (Plus, many earlier historians were Great Man Theory folks.)

Except I think you are trying and trying to do the best you can.
So is Bernie Sanders. Who is 84 fucking years old.
Where are the retired Dem "elites" and stars.
No where.
Sanders is an ally.

There is no coverage. There is an almost complete media blackout
News outlets-not
