Dehumanising.
The only decent part about getting my appendix removed was getting my own room and TV. This seems to be the thing that should be fixed about UK hospitals first IMO.
this entire thing is horrific and an abuse of humanity
and one day after many other trials and hurdles to overcome we can look back on this like slavery and jim crowe era segregation with embarrassment and cringe as
- Labour MPs giving praise to Sex Matters and For Women Scotland
- the Home Secretary angry about protesters chalking statues
- the PM saying trans women should use men's bathrooms
I could go on and on, but any one of these would be a big news item for 2/3
I detransitioned in 2017, when the GCs were finding their feet, due to seeing the way the wind was blowing. I retransitioned in 2019 when the choice was that or [redacted]. I've been expecting this to an extent, but not so quickly
