im just a little old user, but i deleted my account on X and deleted the app. It was such a negative, hateful space that even my husband has noticed how much lighter i seem since joining bluesky!

My presence on Bluesky is small, but I hope the people with a more important presence experience far less baiting and trolling, and that bots and trolls are quickly exterminated / ignored / blocked to expunge the oxygen they so desperately need to continue the bidding of their divisive sponsors.

As Zuck has witnessed the same I'm surprised he's not concerned about a parallel exodus from Threads to BlueSky after his substantial donation to Trump. Many over on Threads are threatening to jump ship over to bsky right now.

I understand folk reluctant to lose all their followers and start again but it would be more effective if people who join Bluesky also delete X on 20 Jan. The date the European Federation of journalists are stopping posting on X. I will chuck it then.

The rate fluctuates, it seems to have trigger events that make blue-sky sign ups increase then they slow down again. That seems quite understandable to me
