David Barton’s claims are pure fiction.
The Due Process Clauses stem from Enlightenment principles & English common law—not the bible.
We’d love to see his “historical proof”… but we won’t hold our breath.

Christian nationalist pseudo-historian David Barton claims that he can prove "historically" that the due process clauses in the Bill of Rights came out of the Bible. We challenge him to do that.

Pretty sure that predates the Bible a bit.
But it was the Magna Carta and how it shaped English common law.
All of them need to be fired into the sun.
Black, brown, yellow, red, white.
But, them MAGA christians keep trying to justify the division & the racism.

There is nothing more anti-due process than a supernatural deity said to have power over mortals and there being no appeals process when ordinary mortals are hit by the whimsical and arbitrary rules/judgment set by a supernatural deity.
