Everyone has 'in' nerd emons as a familia part of their lives.
And we must fight them in a dance off on the catwalk.
I will ask both 'sarah and ersen' to join us for this 'in' crowd endeavor once they finish their tea.
“One evening Milarepa returned to his cave after gathering firewood, only to find it filled with demons. They were cooking his food, reading his books, sleeping in his bed. They had taken over the joint. He knew about nonduality of self, but he still didn’t know how to get them out of his cave. 1/
So first he taught them the dharma. He sat on this seat that was higher than they were and said things to them about how we are all one. He talked about compassion. Nothing happened. The demons were still there. Then he lost his patience and got angry and ran at them. They just laughed at him. 2/
Finally, he gave up and just sat down on the floor, saying, “I’m not going away and it looks like you’re not either, so let’s just live here together.” At that point, all of them left except one. Milarepa said, “Oh, this one is particularly vicious.” 3/
He didn’t know what to do, so he surrendered himself even further. He walked over and put himself right into the mouth of the demon and said, “Just eat me up if you want to.” Then that demon left too.” 4/
I'll give you a hint: A bunch of old time goofy goobers got new forms in recent times because of an indie game and 2 shows (one of them on Youtube) and it is like a daily life in SMG4's realm. But that's okay because the inner light in me dies hard... a lot.
Fun part about being plural is figuring out that our inner demons are literally just other mfs and also we're an inner demon too so we all get to have inner demon rave parties :3
Now it's me telling existential dread the news and it cowering in the corner then I start monologuing how particles and waves are actually the same thing because of the necessary condition that casualty requires a velocity limit and since that is true, then relativity requires that there be
You should dance with the skeletons in your closet.
Learn their names
so you can ask them to leave.
Have coffee with your demons
Ask them important questions like,
”What keeps you here?”
Learn what doors they keep finding open,
and kick them out. George Bernard Shaw
The “fight” looks different for everyone. Sometimes, we play and listen to each other, other times, the Demon is too loud and gets restless. The latter is harder to deal with in my experience.
Hi. I'm practicing alt text!
Alt text:
From top left panel. A simple figure with a round head said in a comic panel, 'Everyone has inner demons.'
Top right panel: Same figure mentioned. They pump their fist and said, 'And we must fight them!'
Bottom left: Cue Sarah Andersen dressed for a tea party. Right next to a demon who also has a charming cup of tea. They assess simple figure with looks of shock.
Bottom right: Then they turn to look at each other.

This is actually the most sane comic strip I have seen. Fighting demons never works, living with them makes for a better life. Acting on their command is the problem.

In Unreal Tournament. First one to 50 kills gets to do what they want.

They’re just silly little guys I don’t wanna fight them
Way less scary this time. Told it I got work in 3 hours, and went right back to bed.
I better not have to teach this thing the concept of "weekends." I don't want these extra responsibilities.
Based on a quote (minus the tea party) from the movie Dr. Strange

"I'm hungry"
Hi, hungry, I'm dad.

Yeah, sit down and have some tea and crumpets instead.
