I had a copy of that movie (but trouble in little China) on VHS when I was a kid. Watched it most days in the summer when my parents were at work. Good times :)
Any "Sword and Sandal" or sweeping historical epic > 3 hours will do -- Ten Comm's, Spartacus, Ben-Hur, Cleopatra, Samson & Delilah, Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia, Barry Lyndon.
Best for "wall of awful" tasks - I can make myself do any shitty thing while Tony Curtis gives a dude an innuendo bath.
White Christmas is definitely one. Another, which is considered a flop, is Sahara - a fun flick with an excellent score/soundtrack. These are two I can just put on while doing other things and still jump in at any point and be right in the flow. Many others too but these came to my mind first.
I have great memories of watching this with my father too. It was one of his favorites. Heβd laugh till he cried every time at that βHereβs a couple of acresβ gag. ππ€
