When I was a student in LA in the 1970s, the story was that you could drop by that Bob's Big Boy around 3AM and share the table with David Lynch having a milkshake. I woulda coulda shoulda but I regret my youthful timidity.

We knew it was culturally important, somehow.

Big Boy is iconic.

in SE Michigan we had Elias Brothers' Big Boy, though I think I only ever went there once...
