Yes. At the same time they were telling all of us that it would be perfectly safe because “kids don’t spread it” (?!?), they were counting on schools being key to a super-spreader strategy.

As a family doc who has taken care of a lot of parents/teachers/school staff who have picked up various infections from kids over the years, the "kids don't spread it" argument just had me laughing my ass off.

Kid2 was in pre-k for the 2019-2020 school year. Which meant he spent half that school year not in the classroom. And he still managed to bring home the flu (once) and strep (twice!).
