My coworking place for today - the train! π
Costs $40 to drive all around Switzerland π¨π for a day
Took the 6:15 train from my village and now I'm already in the opposite corner of the country

I don't know if it would be as quiet here in Spain as it seems for you. Last time I took a train from Madrid to Valencia, a couple decided to stop and talk in the corridor right next to me. It was a bit awkward.
Then, on another occasion there was a whole school class at a station but luckily they wen't into another wagon :)
Except for lunch - there I did a small Subway sandwich stop
It's for Swiss citizens only I believe
And then you need to take this one day and cannot move/cancel.
But then it's the whole day, you can hop on the train 5:00 and then get home by 23:59 π
Only in the evening after sitting for 12h my butt hurt :)
The change of scenery is great. I take some minutes to watch out of the window and I sense my inner pressure go down.
Something for your book, @patricegorissen.bsky.social ?
I have thought about doing a writing road trip by train myself. Maybe it's time I take it up. π
π¬π§ British trains are unreliable and very expensive
π€’ I get travel sick when looking at a screen whilst moving
Enjoy your journey!
Though the train ride to cornwall from London I remember was very cozy
I have relatives in Switzerland (near Bodensee), and always love visiting. Hopefully we'll be back there soon!
Let's move to Austria.
But then, I would probably pay 3000 Euro taxes more.

Context: I was checking websites the whole time, so I needed connectivity constantly - but not high bandwidth.
Or is everyone doing home office so close before the Christmas holidays? :)
Cannot judge for the other trains. Now I'm in Wallis. Not many people live here. Plus the weather is bad β no tourists.
Very lovely atmosphere
Ah yes, bad weather helps, enjoy it! :D
BUT: you need to reserve it 10d in advance
So I didn't know the weather - which is bad. But who cares, I'm still enjoying it
