How do you define "scientist" here?

Then:
Is it really surprising if other psychologists disagree?

Is it really surprising if scientists from others fields disapprove of psychologists in general?
Maybe particularly in the highly polarized political climate that has developed in the US.

This is obviously anecdotal, but pretty much every time I've discussed him with a scientist with any related knowledge who's actually read his work on social media (biologists, social scientists, epidemiologists, etc) they've had the same reaction: that it's bullshit.

Which, I would say, is pretty much the standard.

Psychology and moral philosophy do not have high status among researchers in other fields, where experiments and reproducible results are important.
